The key to folk dance is dignity...

Although a little enthusiasm helps, too...

She's a Greek, but also a Texan. This one sounded more like "Yeeehaaa!" than "Opa!"

We were able to visit the church, and it was very interesting. I'm Catholic, and it was all somewhat the same, but at the same time different. Surprisingly long services on Sunday.

I was impressed by the use of curved surfaces and lighting to make the figures seem more than two-dimensional.

Dear Barbarian, the first series ofyour pictures (featuring the folklore game) reminded me sights from the 23rd of April, the Children's Day in mycountry when children from all ove the world come to display their folklore games from where they come from. Ah, once you start to watch them play you just cannot bring yourself to leaveActually, it is a piece of relief to see the cultural values of peoples preservedas globalizationcrashes into! Ah, may Anna Vissi sing in Greek ; )

As for the tasteful architectural pictures, the frescoes I seein them convey the Orthodox feel I am used seeing in basilicas!

Btw, though thatmightbea trivial issue appreciating these pictures;the first series looked a bit underexposed to me, so Iappliedsome exposure blending. Hope you don't mind..

I like what you've done here, Bahadir. What software do you use for that?

The front of the church was done in mosaics.

Glad it worked for you, my friend...I opened the image @PS to arrange 3differtly exposed poses (1 step spacing is ample, but sometimes using the highlight/shadow tool for this, rather than the exposure tool brings better outputs!) than I merged them using the photomatix. You might prefer the hdr or exposure blending options, from which I preferred the hdr this time. Andfinally Iremoved the artifacts and noiseusing the Neat Image. C'est tout : )

Btw, adding the mosaics has been a good idea indeed, giving even more of thesetting I am quite acquainted with!
