Beautiful morning in the Ouachita Mountains today....great day for outdoor shooting even if the sun was a little harsh at times. The young lady I was working with was very cooperative as I was trying to improve my skills with flash. First shot was with strong sun behind the model...fill flash used to bring up facial details

Comments and criticism very welcome.

Paul

This one was taken on a wooden walkway deep in the woods

A little different....hand-held the flash and bounced it off a concrete bridge support behind the model.

Hi Paul

All very nice with an attractive model. No 3 I like best for combination of lighting, composition, closer and eyes. No1 for a very natural look a close second!

cheers

#2 for me... it looks natural, she seems at ease, I am puzzled about the shoes, though (thick/warm coat and sandals??). Anyway... very nice shot.

I was puzzled about the sandals, too. She brought boots in case we took off through the woods, but never changed into them. Had I done a close-up on her feet, I feel confident they would have been a cold, rosy pink, lol. :-)

Thanks all for the nice comments.
