Hi Guys,

Would appreciate your comments on the shot below before i upload it onto my blog.

The shot was taken on the street in Birmingham UK and deliberately post processed for a dark gritty look:

A larger version can be viewed here

Many thanks,

Matt

What can I say, it's a great shot. I feel that you have achieved your intended goal with this shot. Robert

Interesting transposition of the traditional idea of the balloon man as a dispenser of joy and harbinger of spring. The menacing tones applied during post-process are very effective. Nice work.

Your gritty Lucis plug in look brings out the guys blue eyes. Interesting take on a portrait shot.

No never used the plugin but it has its look the way the colors work and feel. The more I look at this guy the more he creeps me out. His smile isnt genuine and behind that smile is something rather disturbing. This is either a well thought out shot or you've revealed something about this guy he would rather have kept hidden. Perhaps we will see his picture on the tele one day.

Just an observation, but I see the photo as being a bit too dark. I lot of fine detail seems to be lost.
