Default My Daughter & Niece

Here's one I took last wekend.

http://www.geocities.com/chrisr920/PicturePage.html

Taken with a D100 and 28-105 lens. The only thing I did was resize photo, nothing else. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

Chris

How critical do you want me to be?

I generally like the composition and layout. And you made the wise choice of centering the child and not the adult.

Improvements:
It's too light. I would darken it with levels (if you have photoshop.) That probably won't do enough, but it should help. The real way is to retake the picture (probably not possible.) You should be to either drop the exposure compensation, to choose a better thing to meter on. Her right arm and the entire baby's outfit is just too light/white. This also causes the pumpkin's color to be slightly faded/washed out.

Zoom out a bit so you don't cut off the kids feet. They are nice feet, don't leave them out.

Thanks for the critique, Eric.
You could have been as critical as you wanted to. I'm still learning this camera and what I think are good pictures, I know could be better. Thats why I post 'em here. It's a great place to learn!!

Thanks again Eric!!

I recently had the exact same problem with washed out photoes. I sat many hours twitching around in photoshop, until I finally found out that 'auto colour' after 'levels' was a good thing.... hehe.... try it out and see what happens.
