He had a wonderful business supplying temporary medical imaging techs to hospitals, clinics, and private practices. Unfortunately, this required him to sit in an office every day and week of the year. After 15 years without a single vacation, he'd had enough. He's a lot happier now.

We all go through crises. Some yell a lot, some change spouses, some go off on hare-brained crusades, and some just say the heck with it and change jobs.

Fabrication--- hmmmmmm, I never welded but every house I've owned gets decks, ponds, arbors--- some kind of project. My fovorite part is the 2am brainstorm which leads to the next project. My friends ask "how did you know how to do that?" Hmmm - read a book, pull out some tools & try!

That's the way my husband has learned to do all kinds of building, fixing, remodeling, etc. When it came to welding, however, he threw up his hands. There are things best learned by watching and being watched. (Particularly when those things involve, say, a bridge that people drive over.)
