Default Waiting for her turn...

... to get a piece of ice cream cake.

Just a snap shot which I took at the party the other day. I think there is a focusing problem.

Hey Simon-

Thanks for your reply. I wanted her eyes a bit sharper. I was using a spot metering. I thought I should have used a center weighted metering instead. I guess that all depends on how you want to crop the pic and lighting conditions. But, again I'm new to this, so I'm not sure what I'm talking about. I just need to take more pics and do some experiments.

Here is the original. I switched to sepia as someone's shirt in the background was distracting. I tried a clone tool to get rid of it, but that was hard.

Here is an another shot of her. Again, sorry about the ugly background.

hiro you could clone the shirt out and add a little blur for the bakground if you use photoshop or elements however the sepia did a good job hiding it

the second shot would have been much better if you were face on to her and got the eye contact

No. I 'm just using ACDSee Pro since my friend gave me a copy, but it crashes a lot. I'm thinking about getting Elements 7 really soon.
