Default Biker in Times Square

I tried manual this time -- F11 at 1/8 speed. It's very hard to keep the subject sharp. I'll keep practicing my panning...

I like this shot, perhaps even better because it's "soft," but soft in a peculiar manner that gives it life. Nice work!

Yup excellent shot. The strong rich colors give it that pulsing life while the main focus is on the riders head which is the only area with sharpness. And I agree with Acapulco, that this could be a magazine shot. For this pic I think your panning was just right. If you had made it any "better" you would have removed the rider from being an integral part of the scene. With nothing better to do I tried making a magazine article from your photo.

Thanks a lot, Acapulco & Bynx, for your wonderful comments. Some shots I take many times none just works this one I think is just one of those "lucky shots". It will take a while before I shake off this nice feeling...
