Hmmm...

You need to have an interessting eyecatcher. No story to tell in your shot... I see no fire or burning building. Just a relaxed guy!

What do you want to show with it ? Just asking!

actually i think u confused the post...i took this as the other was happening behind me...

if i had to say what this photo was showing is the passive viewing of the decaying city...u see a sidewalk that was obviously made by hand by placing each stone...around it is dirty walls and security gates...to me it shows how the citizens in the city turn their backs to the bigger picture around them...

other then that i like how it looks on my wall with black frame and gray matte....

I see a crackhead waiting for his dealer to call him on a payphone. I live in the city as well so I am able to come up with many possible ideas with this picture. I LIKE IT!

I'll make it 3 against 1, Klaus. :P I can easily pin a scenario to this photo. I live 10 minutes away from a city, so a scene such as this immediately gets my mind busy with drug addicts, the homeless, and old folks imagining the neighborhood hasn't changed over all these years.

Wait...
I thought you can't receive calls on a payphone anymore....
Nice picture though.

Hate to say it, but I'm with Klaus on this one.

I don't think it's a bad picture (and I've seen those before, just wonder around on pbase some... of course, you'll also see amazing stuff doing that!) But it also doesn't do anything for me. Even someone walking (preferably with motion blur), or graffiti. If it’s about the decay of the city, I don’t feel I see enough decay to convey that to me.

I will say that it’s a daring picture to take. It’s not a subject I would choose… and I’m not sure I would do it well, so I respect the effort and idea.

not enough? this area was dump as is most of the city...

this is why i try not to interperate art, especially my own...to me art is about what emotion it brings out when you see it...good or bad it doesnt matter as long as it is not indifference...

Why do you try to defend yourself. No need for that. Any opinion and photo should be welcome here. Both you and I, right ?!
