No I actually live in Ajax. We had the Parade at 6 pm that nite. I didnt bother to watch it. I visited Halls Road yesterday. Its on the west side of Lynne Shore and there you can hand feed the Blue Jays. They fly right onto your hand to feed. Its worth the trip if you havent seen it. I know you have been to Lynne Shore on the east side.

I hardly ever go to the east side at all. Too many parents with children near the main parking lot.

This was taken on Hall Road

I was chasing that RTH. No luck getting the in flight shot of both though.

But last time Nov 6 I still saw a GBH hunting though (even this late in the fall)

Ya its pretty hard to feed the Blue Jay and manage the camera at the same time. Here is where a shooting buddy comes in handy. Sorry to hear about your health issues. Hope all is well.

Haha I did that with even more difficult to get bird -a downy woodpecker way back
The trick is to preset your wide angle to around 3 feet and get ready to fire in burst. The choice of wide angle is important to get the maximum dof

They are pretty good shots of the woodpecker. I suppose I could do the same as I have with the chickadees in the past. But I was so interested in getting the Blue Jays onto my hand I didnt concern myself with using the camera. I just loved the experience. Next time I will shoot.
