Very nice again - did you shoot #2 and #5 from your latest set "from the hip"? I love the unusual composition/angle!

The gal in the third picture (Say cheese) she looked as if she was ready to deck ya or something... nice pictures.

No, not from the hip. The older fellow ''grumpy'' I shot while I was sitting down at a light poll resting. I have found that when I am tired of walking, I find a very busy place and sit down and wait for interesting folks to come by. Most people will never even look at you while sitting down. They just walk past.

On ''beauty'', I was sitting down at a table while resting. I did not give it a second thought. Just clicked. As for the composition / Angle. That is something I was experimenting with for a while, but for the most part stopped. My thought was to try and get the angle just right so that the face matches up with the highest portion of the diamond, but I could not really pull it off. I missed to many good shots..

As for shooting from the hip, I do not do that often. Infact, I have not tried it in many months. Missed to many shots and ended up with really badly composed blurry images.

Thanks. This type of shot, I drop down to a knee and click. 99% of the time, folks will say ''oh, sorry...I got in your shot'' Once they pass, take another one of whatever is in that direction and delete it later. Simple.

Note: Most of my images are with a 24mm prime, so my working range is 5-15 feet, 20 feet max. When you are closer, it is easier, because few will give u a second thought.

LOL... "Oh, sorry... I got in your shot"... I have to remember that one. By the way, pleasure to meet you... I enjoyed your other photos of catching people where they are at. Thanks! All the best. Ned
