Default Snow Days in North Carolina

This weekend we had a large (at least for us) snowfall. So everyone was out sledding and playing.

Here are a few pics from the weekend.

1. Saturday night Group Sledding

2. Acting Silly

3. Taking a break

4. Sunday - more sledding

5. A bumpy ride

6. Airborne

7. And then a hard landing...

8. Another Oops..

9. Building a snowman

And today it is back to work for me while the kids stay home from school.

I like the first photo great pose - the girl in the front looks like she is model with a very pretty face - looks like she enjoys being photographed. Nice capture you got her skin tone very well.

We had 10 inches of snow in Central VA today. Second large snow storm here this winter.

I like all pics. The snow there in North Carolina is in the news here in NY.

For the first 2 shots, did you use some kind of flash diffuser? It looks very nice and even.

Thanks for looking and the comments.

Dave,
Now the weather folks are saying we may get some sleet and freezing rain. That is what we usually get around here. The snow was a welcome change.

Vvcarpio,
For the first three I used the Canon 430 EXII on camera straight on.

we might get 1 to 2 inches of snow tomorrow night and looking for another storm Friday and Saturday.

I took a lot of pictures of the snow, snow plows etc and they were not half as mice as what you got.

Excellent and fun set! You did a great job having everyone in focus and the skin tones looked great. I particularly like the "airborne" shot Everyone looked like they were having a blast.

I live up in Canada an hour and a half North of Toronto (cottage country) and while the Toronto Area to Buffalo is fairly sparce with snow and haven't had much at all this winter, we've been slammed pretty good and have about 2 feet still on the ground in some area's. But, as we have all the ski lodges/resorts up here, they're very thankful.

I hope you'll get a chance to do some more....I truly enjoyed these.

This is a really nice series, Andy - looks like a loot of fun

Especially the shots where you used the 430 EX look really good - did you use a diffusor on your flash to soften the light?
