Ancientritual,

Thanks. Met him today in the harbour, It struck me he's an authentical person. I have some more; close up pictures I want to share from the meeting

And I'll add a few facts. Yes, he could tell a few stories

Great portrait shot. I'd never guess that he was 88.

Thank you gentlemen,

No, he isn't 88, he's 88 and 6 months. He's still a young boy. Has had extensive heart surgery but is still looking forward

He was very happy to meet another, well, un unauthentic person

Thank you

He's not a happy man, though. He lost his wife 2 years ago and lives, despite a sometimes boyish ..... in his eyes, proudly in the past.

Taking part in building 122 ships; now sailing the seven seas; that's something to be very proud of. Originally he came from the south, where he also did his military service, but soon he moved north

This city was up til the 80ies one of the world's biggest ship builders, with shipyards like Götaverken, Eriksberg and Lindholmen.

With the neoliberal 80ies the world's economical macro structures changed, so in just a few tears, sorry, years I mean, the shipyards had to close down and he got out of work

But by then he was almost to retire. I wish him a long and happy life.

Egon is the name

Nice clarity and facial tones, especially in the first shot!

All three are great portraits in my opinion - this man has a very interesting story to tell! Thank you for sharing Torgny!

Torgny, these are the best photos I've seen you post and would say that the 1st is the best of the bunch as you have enough dof to have the whole head sharp and the candid nature works really well.

The more I go on in photography the more I appreciate the character of older faces, where is in the past I would only like young hot models, not sure if that was for artistic reasons or not though!
