Very nice Ordo...love the bokeh which shows off the crisp uniform! Nice color rendition...what time of day? Also like the nice difused lighting.

This is a wonderful portrait of an event which will remain in his memory forever. Agree with everything jelpee said...

Thanks. It was a cloudy day, perfect for shooting. Critical DOF my friends! I was impressed how the uniform detail, the textures, etc. came out. I made print copies for he and his family and they came out amazing. It's a scanned 60 Mb, 6X7 film pick, not really a digital photo.

Thanks both.
simple: its this MF 150 mm. apochromatic lens (all manual):

Equivalent to a 71 in 35mm. Natural DOF. The lens has a personality.

I missed this one. What a nice portrait. I love that it looks ''natural'' and what a wonderful looking boy

Thanks jgredline! I'm still working on this pick. Here, i added some light to the face and a subtle Ortton effect, my new toy. Not sure if it works:
