Thanks guys, I enjoy this new found style for me with the sun in the pic. I've been using live mode so that I can retain my better than perfect vision!

That is interesting. I for the life of me, can't use live view. I prefer the view finder.

I always use the view finder but in this case looking into the sun will destroy my eye. Ever since I got a DSLR the view finder was all I had.
