Default First Friday - Downtown Honolulu

First Friday of the month has art galleries and other spots open late for the public (http://www.hawaiiforvisitors.com/oah...rst-friday.htm). Great restaurants with good food, nice art and scenery. Although fun, turns into a circus after a while.

Thanks for the comment Javier. My first try at street shots - I'll process a few more and post in your "Capture a stranger" thread.

Paniolo,
All these years I've been living in Honolulu, I never knew about this. I've got to get out more to downtown Honolulu at night. Only time I venture out there is to quickly buy a lei at Chinatown and also see the action during Chinese New Year.
Aloha pretty interesting shots.

Mahalo Selvin! First Friday was started several years ago. It attracts a lot of people, from the Hotel Street regulars at the old time bars to younger set having a good time - an interesting mix. The area was pretty bad at night.

Amazingly sharp considering all those moving bodies.

Thanks for the look. I was also pleasantly surprised at the results. First try at night shots at ISO 3200 on my D90. Used a 50/1.8 but found it a little long, then changed to 18-105 kit lens.
