Default Sleeping Angel

I took this picture of my lovely wife while she was taking a nap in almost total darkness with my Finepix 3800. She hates having her picture taken so this was a rare opportunity to snap my favorite face.

I really like the dream like qualtiy of the shots but I can't decide if I like it better with the hand left in or removed. Please tell me what you think.

I like the second one - a bit of cropping would do nice I think.

I vote for the hand being left in. It gives a certain stability to the image.

Thank you Klaus & Barbara for the feedback. It's interesting that you each selected a different version of the photo. I have shown these to quite a few people and the response is just about 50/50. I guess that's why Baskin & Robbins has 31 flavors.

I'm with Klaus on this one. The second picture with some cropping.

Another vote for the 2nd pic. The hand in the first pic seems to throw it out of balance to me

The problem I have with the second photo is that, even with cropping, it feels as if she's falling down and out of the picture. That's what I meant about the hand lending stability.

Thank you all for the feedback. I personally prefer the picture with the hand left in but I can't really say why. When I get home this evening I'm going to take Klaus' advice and crop the 2nd picture and re-post it.

Here it is with the suggested crop. Any additional comments?
