Thanks for the kind words! On my Web site, probably 75% of my images were taken with an Olympus C2100UZ. I loved my UZI & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting to learn any style of shooting. It can be the ultimate portait camera if you get out of the automatic modes...try shooting it in aperature priority (and get used to controlling your depth-of-field). I used the C2100 for 2yrs & then got a 7i & now use a Canon D30. (I wouldn't know if any of those cameras is a great portrait camera in the auto modes because I never used auto modes). Any camera that can be used in full manual mode has a huge advantage in helping you learn how to take better pictures...epoxy the switch to manual mode & you'll get better faster... ;-)

Kalypso,

What, no Christmas settings?

Seriously though, I enjoy your work!

Kalypso, thanks for the advice. It's nice to know that I don't really need a new cam, but just more willingness to learn to use the one I have. Hopefully I can make myself learn how to use those manual settings without resorting to the super glue.
