Default Little Halloween Witch

Like both of these - witch (sic) is your favourite?

The first shot has the focus just right, while the second shot's dof stops a little short of her forehead, leaving it out of focus. But I prefer how she is looking at us in the second photo, conveying the appropriate mood for the costume. Everything is right in the first photo but for the mood. I'll vote for #2.

I like number 2 because it conveys attitude, witch is important in a photo like this. Nicely done!

The most beautiful witch i've seen in my life. And believe me, i know a couple of old ugly witches. I like #1.

very nice shots craig.

i like the first one though, very cute, like the head tilt, like the expression in the eyes and smile.

the 2nd one probably fits the costume better though.

It was almost dark outside, but a lovely diffused light.

5DMkII at ISO 800 is insanely good. Even at 100% there is no noise that I can see in the unsharpened photo after processing in LR3. I mean honestly - none at all.

I have to go with shot 2 - purely from the stance that it conveys a more appropriate attitude for a witch. Pose #1 would be more appropriate for a fairy or other whimsical creature.

Nice
#1 for artistic style
#2 for Candid attitude

The only capture critique I have is the catchlight in the eyes of #1 about the 6 oclock position.
If it can be controlled always try for the 11 or 1 oclock position.
