Default "That Look"

Just got my 400 2.8L back from a once over/cleaning and calibration.
First shot snapped with it after service.
My 11YO (going on 25) giving me a look. She was worried her freckles were fading (She loves her Freckles!)
Did I mention I love this lens! I would use this for potraits but a 40x10 studio isnt practical.

Shot with MKIV
400 2.8L
MFD @ f2.8
1/250
ISO 1600
Indoor ambient light courtesy recessed kitchen lights.
Raw to jpeg conversion only.

Wonderful shot. Perfect highlight of the eyes and freckles.

Thanks John, got lucky with the catchlight in the eyes, courtesy of the sliding door going out on the deck behind me. Im anxious to get the beast back out on the field. I was supposed to shoot Saturday morning soccer at one of those perfect venues with trees on the sideline and natural mid morning gobos. Had to take care of other business instead.

I like the lighting (well planned ), the 400mm has certainly supplied a different perspective to the face, a little surreal..... possibly perfect for the time of year

I've only shot with a 400mm f2.8 a few times but know I would have been dying for it to come back as well. You are a fortunate man!

Thanks

I think the feline aspect is what does it for me. The head slightly down gives an entirely different aspect to the eyes.
