Default Need opinion on two pictures please...

First of all, I would like to say MERRY XMAS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, AND ALMOST HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE. I hope everyone is well and bundled up in front of the fireplace on new years eve. ok, back to business. I was playing around with PS 7 for a long time on one picture. Im planning to print one of them and frame it for my gf for Xmas. I Which do you think is the better picture? I think its obvious which one has be photoshoped. Is it too excessive photoshop? Thank you very much for you opinion.

#1 is a great shot. I do not think you did too much with Photoshop. Had I not seen picture #2, it would just have looked like a soft filter to me.

when I have two nice but different versions, I can never really tell until I actually print them... but that said, I vote for #1. Pretty smile.

I don't see really anything wrong with the photoshop work. Even added less DOF to the background... The only thing that I myself probably wouldnt have done is crop it from the bottom one. It looks like you cropped like a few inches if that off. Other then that... gj

Thank you for everyones feedback. It was all very helpful. I think I'll go down to walmart to print out the 1st one tomorrow. Hope everyone had a blast during christmas day. I know I did. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

No way, I think the second picture is better. the first one is too bright and fake. maybe it's just me, but i prefer reality v.s. synthetic.
