Is the Minolta a little nicer then the Ziess as a portrait lens.

I do like this shot as a whole but her positioning from the hand down looks slightly awkward. Can't tell if she's sitting, laying or standing. From the hand up looks great.

Well let's say they are different, the 85mm was shot at wide open while the Zeiss was fully closed down... They would both be more adequate than what a photographer can demand from them.

i really love the expression and the light in the eyes, tilt of the head, etc.

just feel the right hand is a bit awkward.
