G'day vvc

Now that you've crossed the 100 images mark - can I place an order for the coffee-table photo book that is coming out for Christmas ??

Phil

Funny you mention Christmas. My daughter and her boyfriend actually ordered prints to give out as Christmas presents. Thank you, Phil.

It also took me a second to find him but I like that version better. Having to look for a second to him makes you look at the incredible background until you find him.

Well done.

Hi, lomitamike.

I had this series reviewed a couple of times. While the two images below:

"Sharing secrets"

"Rapture"

are instant crowd-pleasers whenever I show my images around, they don't quite cut it according to two professional portfolio reviewers I met. They preferred blurry traffic and taxicabs, (ghosted) people, and I assume jumbotrons and things like steam rising from sewer pipes to contrast the chaos with the subject's nearly Zen-like state. (Some Buddhists actually visited my show two years ago and left inspiring comments in my guest book.) Sort of like calm in the center of the storm. So the two reviewers said I should stick to images more like #107 below to keep in line with my calm-emanates-from-within "Solitude in New York City" theme.

#107) "Making life easier for a two-legged friend."

But I like the way you put it best. The viewer's eyes wander around the scene until he or she finds the subject. It's an unintended consequence I -- or anyone for that matter -- hadn't thought of before. Thanks a lot!

The color of the city billboards are always impressive. Continually great stuff.
