Thank you, Phil. I'm sure many of them are aware of my camera and tripod -- most of the time I was there first. They just happened to wander into my frame, pause, do something, then move on. Many (including yours truly) don't seem to mind being in some tourist's picture -- I'm not the only one with a camera around, just maybe the only one with a tripod.

And if the intended subject was there first, I make sure he or she knows I'm setting up for a shot. I missed some good opportunities that way because some stood and left.

Still, in others, I discovered the subject only during processing. A lone individual would suddenly stick out after HDR processing because he or she is the only one standing or sitting still, while everyone and everything else is a blur, like the one below pausing to read a text message.

Gee Billy I dont know how I missed this before. Great set that has developed. I really like your processing. As for pic #1, I am one of the few who also prefers the original to the close up. New York City is all about the vastness and how small and isolated the individual is in it and among each other.

Thanks a lot, Paul, especially since your compliments came after viewing the entire series in one sitting. I'm glad you liked it.
