Default Bookends

The title comes from the Simon & Garfunkel "Old Friends" song called, "Bookends".

#1) Bookends.

Thank you for looking. C&C welcome.

Thank you, simple. It was taken at 1/3 second, f/6.3, ISO100. My bravery at taking pictures at slow speeds handheld may be foolhardy though, considering I haven't yet experimented with higher ISOs.

That stairs constantly had people coming up or going down. I had to wait a few seconds to get a clear shot of the stairs. After I took my "empty stairs" shot (I didn't post the pic), the two men in business suits came down so I took that shot, too, which is #2 above.

Wall Street types are rather rare at the library. Most are tourists and possibly academicians, scholars, and researchers, so the two men in business suits caught my eye. I was also trying to keep with the "Bookends" theme so I posted the pic.

Regarding a single-person-in-the-stairs shot, I remember an obese woman making her way up the stairs while I waited but I didn't take a shot. I could try that next time.

#3) More than friends.

Absolutely fab - your shots are well cool and inspirational. 1&2 are my faves.

#4) Comforting words. (I have posted this picture in another thread but I think it also belongs here.)
