Default Madelyn B&W

I decided to make sure I took some pictures for "World Pentax Day" this past weekend. Even cleaned up my garage so I'd have a space to set-up some off-camera flash so I could start learning about that again. I had a chance late at night to try out a set-up that had been bouncing around in my head for a couple of weeks. Any comments / critique graciously accepted.

Take care,
Glen

Its a nice job. Off camera flash is always fun to play around with various styles. I've been starting to get interested in that myself. The only thing I'd off a critique on is the profile. I think it would be better if you saw only half the face or had your subject turn their chin slightly towards the camera. The far eye looks like its hanging out in nowhere and if it was just a bit closer to the camera with the subject still looking in the same direction, I think it would look a wee bit better. But that's just me and everything is subjective.

Thank you for sharing the photo. It looks like you are having fun

Looks like the re-learning curve is going to be rather short for you. Excellent job. The stray hair is a bit distracting.

Thanks!

Shutterbug74 -- Thanks for the input. I'm planning to take another ran at this and another variation this weekend. I'll try playing around with the angle. You got me thinking now.

Lomitamike -- Yeah. I was noticing that afterwards. I'll have to have Madelyn fix her hair next time.

I other thing I was thinking was trying to get her nose a bit more sharper.

Take care,
Glen
