Default Wedding of David and Sarah 23rd July

Shot the fantastic wedding of David and Sarah this weekend. I really wasn't sure I was going to make it as I was having breathing problems the 2 days prior. Managed not to let them down but have since found out I have a minor Pulmonary Embolism. Treatment is going well and I'm feeling much better.

Anyway back to the photos. You might have spotted these guys a few months ago when I did their pre wedding shoot. Didn't get quite as many shots as I would have liked as the groom wasn't feeling good so went to rest for an hour or so in the afternoon and went to bed before the first dance. Here is a quick selection of what I did get, EXIF should be in tact if you are interested in camera/settings for each one.

Please feel free to include ideas, suggestions, thoughts, improvements, changes etc.

Mark,

Excellent work as always. I really like 7 and 8. My one comment is not on your work but on a trend I see these days.

I just don't get the shots of the bride or groom in the foreground of the shot with the other in the background and blurry. The whole point of marriage is supposed to be joining of two to equally form one. To me these convey placing an importance on one spouse over the other.

Call me an old fuddy-duddy, curmudgeon or whatever. I guess I am.

Lovely set Mark. I may be old school, but the "MTV Angles" (Steve quote right there) always hurt my neck! LOL.

Seriously though, awesome shots.

My favs:

Mark, I'm curious -- do you shoot the photos at an angle, or do you decide in post which ones you want to set at an angle, and by how much? It just seems like a lot to decide "in the trenches." Godspeed with your recovery.

Thanks everyone for your comments and kind words about my health

tclune, yes, I shoot with the angles. I always start with straight and then take some angles as well. Especially with the younger couples, angles seem to work well, but it needs a balance between straight and angled.
