this is a picture i took because i saw a picture in Outdoor Photographer that i really liked......it was an ad for Nikon i think....and it was a guy that took a picture of his reflection in a spoon and knife.....so i thought i'd try something similar.....just looking at that picture made me find a lot of reflective things around my house.....well i took this shot in my room......it won't take long for you to figure out wat it is....lol
i used......

Shutter speed-6 seconds
Arperture-7.1
ISO-100
White balance-tungsen
Macro Mode
Superfine Large Jpeg

Good try!

The photo you are trying to emulate is by Jody Dole, it is an ad for the Nikon 5400 .

There is a writeup on him in the Noverber/December 2003 issue of Digital PhotoPro.

You may be interested in this website, http://www.mirrorproject.com, which is based around the same idea of capturing reflections in objects with your camera.

Neat site,
only problem I see with this kind of photography is that your likness is included in the image, and I see a few problems with that like you have to be dressed and it could be evidence

Oh, I don't know. There are some pictures on there of people not dressed int heir Sunady best, if you know what I mean. Some of the ones I particularly like are the ones where your image is distorted in some way.

And when your face wrinkles and your head sprouts independent-thinking gray hairs, you'll like those distortions even better. You'll be able to blame it on a curved surface.

I think if you surf through ebay long enough you will find some interesting examples of exactly that... people who don't realize that their reflection is on whatever it is they are selling... and some of these people aren't very modest...

Now that is good for a laugh.

Now that could lead to some interesting ebay games. We've already gone through the joke items (like the world, or the snow in that person's yard), now you could have fun trying to spot the reflections.

It would be like a game of "Where's Waldo?" Only it would be "Where is that fat, hairy, naked guy?" and it would be played on Ebay.
