My wife...Nikon D90-Nikon 50mm 1.8 at f1.8-1/20sec-ISO1000-hand held....The only light was a corner lamp behind her and the screen of her laptop...

I think she looks lovely - great camera work to capture the moment

cc if I may -but- how about you try it again tripod-based so that you can get a tad more sharpness thru the image > then you'll have a 'real-good keeper'

1/20 sec, that's as slow as I can handhold with stabilization on.
That's a nice capture of your wife. I like the use of the ambiant light and the narrow DOF
I would try to get the close eye sharper but at that shutter speed hand held that's tough.

Thanks guys. I was just taking some test shots at high ISOs. The original looks sharper...I'm not sure what happened on the upload...I did the same as I always do.
