Default Self Portrait

Hi guys,

I was bored the other night so decided to take a self portrait. The camera was on a tripod and tethered to my laptop which i used to take the photo.

For those interested I used a flash fired through a large softbox just to the front / left.

Image was processed to create an oil painting effect.

C & C welcome:

Cheers,

Matt

Excellent job Matt. The only thing I would change is the angle so you are looking, at least, straight on to the viewer instead of up at them. Other than that the lighting, focus, and processing is killer.

Very impressive. I like it- and wouldn't change a thing...

Excellent shot, sets a very strong mood of someone who was thinking about something that depressing or sad.

I also wouldn't change a thing...I find the angle excellent...really adds a surly moodiness to your photo.

I'm not implying you're surly at all...just my take on the 'look' at the lens.

Neither trying to be flattering nor unflattering. Just the way I would want my self-portrait to be, that is, a perfect likeness. Very nice.
