Default Another recent senior shoot

Here's some of my faves from a another recent senior shoot. First time out with the new to me D7000. Lesson learned. Turn off the auto-bracketing function if you don't want to have to reset your settings after every shot.

Oh and before you ask, yes the ball is really on fire in shot #2.

Beautiful lighting on both pictures! Excellent!

You did it! I love the second shot. Very original. Very nice.

Lighting is exquisite; Ground on #2 looks like it is tilted. Was that part of the composition?

Thanks guys!

Wingman - good catch! I think that is a little crooked now that I look at. Or is it the bat causing that effect?

I applied some straightening based on keeping the base that she's sitting on horizontal and came up with this. The straightening cropped the image, but you may be able to work with the original.

I think both work...if she likes it, that's all that matters! Again, the lighting and clarity and the overall effect is fantastic!

Thanks Wingman. I will take a second look. I think the angle of the bat is what is really throwing things off.

One edit I plan to do. The young lady's name starts with M. So I am going to try and use that split in the flame and bring each side down to form an M.

Very nice shots. The colors and contrast come out really nice and very natural. I like the backlit hair, too. (I'm not an expert on lighting so I don't know if it's actually backlit.)

You're doing good on diagnosing lighting vvcarpio! There indeed is a Nikon sb600 with a 3/4 CTO gel on it about 8-10ft behind her head.
