Default Sunset Cowgirl

Happened to sneak a picture of my friend during a night ride. It's nothing too glamourous but I liked the pose.

I'm new at this whole photography thing, but I'm starting to progress!

What do yall think?

start with cloning out the tree on the left. It would be easier to just crop it out but I think you need some open space to the left of the whole tree.

I like the composition but it seems just a touch out of focus when you look at the horse.

Actually, you could have either commanded the tree to disappear or at least have sense enough to get smaller so it wouldn't distract too much from the focus of your photo, the girl on the horse.
Just joking obviously.

The silhouette of the rider on the horse is well done except for the slight fuzziness but that may be due to the size reduction technique on the original you used.

Despite the errant tree which it has been suggested you clone out, I like it. Good work.

I like the image pretty much the way it is, the slight blur of the horse could be blur caused by the horses motion. I don't find it objectionable.

Removing the erant branches on the left would improve the composition,

but then it would cease to be an image of what existed in reality. That depends on the shooters ethics Are you showing what you actually saw, or moving a pyramid to improve the comp.

well first off....i don't really mind the full tree.....but the little branches are kinda distracting......but trying to clone out both trees would be anything but fun.......cloning out the far left branches of the second tree would be a lot easier and improve composition.....but i don't mind them there cuz that was how it was when the picture was taken......

I agree with peterp on this one; sometimes, I think that overkill on making everything so subjucated to a specific form gives a photo no flare of it's own. sometimes little differences, and not following the conformnity of typical photographical rules adds personality for both the photographer and his photo. I say, leave it the way it is.
