Default Tuesday night at the Opry

The first week of June, we took a motorcycle trip to Nashville, to attend the kickoff of the Country Music Awards. Had a great time. From the "cheap seats" at a distance of about 50 yds, I did the best I could with my Canon SX40, most at full zoom. (840mm equiv.)

1) Terri Clark

2) Terri Clark

3) Jennifer Nettles, who has the voice of an angel (to me)

4) Jennifer Nettles

5) Charlie Worsham. He moved so fast I got only one shot of him that turned out halfway decent.

6)Josh Turner, another one that moved fast.

7) Josh Turner

8) Henry Lee Golden, of the Oak Ridge Boys. Yes, they did "Elvira".

More to come...

4) One more

5) A couple of Harley riders waiting patiently for their humans outside Hooters in downtown Nashville.

We had a great time in Nashville. You really need more than two days to see anything.

Thanks for looking!

Great series ...excellent pics given the lighting and distance. Have enjoyed he times I've visited the Opry...need to get down there again soon.

Thanks! This was my first trip, but I will try again next year. When you get my age, you have to speed up a little to avoid missing out.

These turned out better than I could have hoped, because of the lighting. My real regret that night is that I video'd Carrie Underwood's songs, but didn't get any still shots. Just like a rookie!

Thank you. It was an experience. Not at all what I was expecting. It was fun seeing these folks in person, they put on quite a show.

Excellent series. Went several years ago and didn't get any good photos.

You did a great job Robert. From the distance you were and what you ended up with, I'd be happy with them.
The shots of Henry Lee Golden and Trace Adkins are great.
Looks like you had a great time.
Thanks for sharing.
