IMO (as you know) there is no better background then the great outdoors. Sure you can make composite images that look like there taken outdoors or the [I]perfect [I] studio with the lighting and props.

But for the most beautiful images nothing beats what nature has created outdoors.
Now add the beautiful female form to the outdoor setting, and if done right you have a timeless image.

I think I've said this before. I just have a great appreciation for the artistic outdoor portrait
I really enjoy your images.

They motivate me.

Great shots, love the soft background. Just enough detail in to tell where she is without letting the stay on the background.

I agree...

The only issue with outdoor is the weather. It's getting colder here on the East coast as you can tell already, and it won't be long before the daylight will be getting shorter too.

Here's another shot of Savannah down the creek using two light sources: a battery powered front beauty dish with gold reflector and the back lighting provided naturally by the morning sun

Sweet!
Your getting consistent with your beauty dish.
Nicely balanced.

There's a lot of issues with shooting outdoors weather being one of them. With the days getting shorter it actually is an advantage here in So Cal.

Finding isolation and willing reliable models is the biggest challenge here. The later of the two being the most difficult.

You are correct, there are thousands of miles of secluded desert out here.
The problem I'm having is getting a model out to the secluded area. Heck, I'm just having a difficult time period, finding a model who doesn't flake on me.

Lighting on the model is perfect. Great series here.
