Default A cosy place to be

Here's my first post.
Taken with a two second exposure, lent over a balcony and freezing cold the restaurant looks so still and inviting.

Nice composition - the reflections on the wet pavement help pick up the light of the cafe window. Nice touch

what a photo, it is real fun to look at. I saw the comment about the reflection off the street and I was looking for the blue light source and couldn't find it...and then realized it was blurred people. And that little tv through the window. Great Picture. How in the world did you not manage to get camera shake with a 2 second exposure and you leaning over the balcony?

I must admit to being lucky with this one but I remember bracing my arms against the railing and not breathing.

That's really a neat shot, almost too nice, really 8) . The lighting on the street, and the illuminated people in the window of the restaurant are just perfect. The overall effect reminds me somehow of Stanley Kubrick (vide Eyes Wide Shut).

Great picture. I like it a lot.

Two seconds, handheld?! That's quite an accomplishment.

Here is my other picture I saved from the balcony (and I deleted six) as you can see it suffers from a little shake.

The thing I like about this shot is the people nearby are blurred but it all smoothes out the further away you get.
Shame about the rubbish.

Ah, if I am not mistaken that is Villiers St, just off the Strand in London....the tube station is Embankment.

Nice restaurant picture, good mood captured. Well done.
