Default face

I am new to photography.
This is my first people photo. I kind of like it.
In order to improve my skill, any comments are welcome.

Thanks!

Very nice shot! I do however find your logo very distracting... unless of course this was meant to be an advertising shot.

I like the shot also. The only thing that I might suggest is to make the subjects eyes a little more clearer and little sharper, because to me, her eyes are the focal of the picture.Of course , this advice is given with my very limited experience ,so I could be very wrong !

Thanks for all the feedback.

Kanji, I think you got a point. After reading your post, I did try to retouch eye part in PS. The picture definably came out stronger than the original.

I like the shot, but I have to agree with John about your logo. Like background music in a classy restaurant, your signature needs to be present but not obtrusive.

I would humbly suggest moving the logo down to the bottom corner. If this is an advert for jojostudio, as would be printed in a magazine, then that would look very nice and classy. But if it's just a stamp that you put on all your photos for identification, then it's probably too strong.

The photo is wonderful though, really nice strong eye contact and soft lighting on the face. Love the bright rim light on the right as well

I did take a B&W beginning classe when I was in college. My first camera is a used Nikon N2000. I found myself really in love with photography. But I gave it up because it was too costly to continue back to that period of time. After that I didnít touch any camera until the end of 2001, I had my first snap-n-shot camera. Actually, I bought this camera that was for my dog, but it totally recalled my passion for photography. In the beginning of this year, I had an opportunity to upgrade my camera. So here I am.
I really happy to find this place and nice people like you. I really appreciated all the feedback I got. I am sure I can learn lots of things from people here.
