It seems these days women look better with their clothes on than off. When they take them off they look more like doodle pads than women.

G'day Eddy

While I like the theme and your efforts so far, I ponder whether an twilight / after-dark lighting regime would work better with the theme? It would minimise the background at the least

Also - I don't know enough about 'goth' stuff, but I thought that the heavy makup included the whitening of face as well as darkening of eye / mouth features.

Your help needed here
Phil

Twilight would, indeed, have been better. Unfortunately, the Cemetery closes at 5PM and they shut the gates. So, we have to shoot in the morning hours to avoid the harsh light.

You're correct. People who actually practice the Goth style normally have very pale complexions and use heavy, heavy eye and mouth make up. Sadly, most of them don't make very good models.

This is about the 4th one of these I've done and it comes closest to yielding the look I was after.

Glad you enjoyed.

I'm sorry that the model in the images doesn't have the proper look to suit some viewers here.

Came in late on this as the thread has just again popped up on main forum page.

I know little about goth, so I researched "goth look images" to see a good sample of what it is supposed to be (eg, range of look for the goth ideal).

The model has actually done a superb job of achieving the goth look in a professional rendition (eg, something one might see in a highbrow/quality magazine, ad or otherwise).

I personally like best pix # 4 (w/splash of red; real goth).

One may not like the tattoos, but hey, that's goth (and the model has implemented them tastefully; eg, not real dark and not too much).

In general, the model is quite stunning and I would be proud to show her off at any big time full blown highbrow goth party/event.

Many would necessarily be envious.

Try some more scenes & lighting effects/conditions with this model before she gets away.

One thing that I did not mention is that this was the young womans first ever photo shoot of any kind. And, I think she did an excellent job of pulling it off.

I do have future shoots planned with her. She is 33 y/o and the Mother of 4.

I have to add to my lighting arsenal. The only lighting I have, at this point, is a hot shoe mounted speedlite. I'm planning to pick up some additional, portable, Off Camera lighting for future shoots.

As I said in a previous post, the kids who actually practice the Goth style look a bit different and, actually, make horrible models.

Thanks for your comments.

Oh and whilst I am not a religious person I can only assume you are not in the UK because this is blasted disrespectful to 1. Dress (or not ) like this in a cemetery but also to 2. Stand a person topless on graves..........

One assumes ONLY in the US............ disrespect for the familes of the deceased, you would never do it in Great Britain

A couple that I reworked in PP to give more of a twilight appearance.

I'm not into tats either. Especially on a beautiful woman. However, I still like 1, 3 and 4 with 3 being my favorite. She's still very pretty and very sexy. I think the shoot was great! Mother of 4. I'd be proud!
