Nice shot. Perhaps a little fill flash or a reflector might have brightened the shadows in her face just a bit.

Great natural look, but I agree on the fill-in flash or reflector.

A white card on the rocks to her left would have helped...

Thanks for the comments. I used a fill flash on a few of the photos, but some were over exposed. The sun was out and I had major shadows due to the trees. My camera spot meter went nuts! I do need to purchase a white card or learn to use fill flash.

I like the 2nd shot, as well. Model had a nicer smile in that one, the lighting was more even, and I thought the background was very pleasing.

(BTW, Chuck...bear in mind that I shoot very few portraits, so my comments are strictly from the "wish I could do it this way" crowd )

I also like the second one better, the DOF is perfect for this shot, and the face looks very natural.
