Great shots,
In the first one I have SOME problem with the eyes.
But I love the lowkey approach.

The others are very nice.

Greetings,
Frank

Default Nice pics ... Jedi

True.. its always personal preferences... I would have preferred if there were no falling hair on her neck in the first pic, and a little more emphasis on the neckless she's wearing.

Second pic... good framing ... nice low-key, but once agin I find hair on her shoulder, that's distracting.

Now the 4th pic.... a bent and pulled down lip does not give it a right expressoin]

But then all of the comments (above and below) are just my opinions!

Both the color pics have strong hilights, they are kind of over exposed - but I really like the framing and the camera angle in the first colored photo.

Overall... lovely work!!!!!

B&W are subexposed by 1 step.

Color are overexposed by 2 steps.

I like the second photo. The black background, black hair, and black dress give me the feeling she is teasing me. The other shots are very nice also.

You have a problem making the model appearing relaxed. This is very difficult. I noticed right away.

The BW are nice shots with great use of black hair AND background. The color image...very unnatural colors, but they might have been intended. The skintones are all wrong. Another difficult diciplin to deal with...

The last shot. Be careful not to put hands and feets in the foreground. They will most often be very dominating, unless you want a special effect of course.

Good beginner shots though.

At B&W pics... the model is not a model, just a class mate (maybe that is why she is unrelaxed)

At color pics the model (real model) is 2nd time modeling, and I was the Photographer #10 that night she was really tired.

About the color... Im having problems capturing right colors with my camera (HP c912) and studio flash

I have changed the levels... here is the original one.

Jedi.

The new skintones are much better. I agree in that.

About the model...and relaxing. This was not a critique, just a thought. I often shoot studio shots of children and have this exact problem too. That's why I can say it is difficult to get people relaxing. It's uncommon situation for many people too, to sit stil and "do that" and "do that"... Know what I mean ?
