Default Young Performers in Kimono - (warning 4 pictures)

At the many Japanese Cultural celebrations in Hawaii, young girls in wear their brightly colored kimonos to perform on stage:

These photos are from a recent performance at Kapiolani Park:

I really like the way that you have assembled it.

If your goal was to "tell a story", then you have admirably succeeded.

Nice shots Selvin, I agree,it tells a nice story. Is the little girl a granddaughter of yours?

Colleagues, thanks for the comments. I did try to portray a story of the performance. The last one is also my favorite is reminds me so much of the bond between mothers and daughters.

Barbara, The tunnel of ironwood trees does create a very nice framing. These trees are quite old and date back to when the Park was initially used by Hawaiian Royalty at the turn of the century, last century 1900s.

I was not even aware of this performance but as I passed the park a lady who thought I came to see the performance shouted out to me, "carry lots of film." I did have my camera handy tho.
