I just got back from seeing Keith Urban play this evening. His drummer and his monitor guy are buddies of mine from way back, so I got to hang out with them afterward, which was cool, although I didn't get to meet Keith, as his mom and sis were over from Australia visiting, so he was hanging out with them on his bus. Anyway, I was about 20 rows up on the side when I took these. There's some noise in them because the room was dark but considering that they were full auto (and taken at full 10X zoom) they came out pretty decent:

The only editing done was resizing and a little bit of unsharp mask.

It's actually funny you say that, because he's considered a country artist here in the US.... go figure. I'm not really a big fan of the new country stuff for the most part, but Keith's stuff is fabulous. He's a monster of a guitar player, too, and his guitar tone is just amazing.

Keith Urban.. rawr... meow... purrr!

Talk about a good looking guy!

"Ill be the last one standin.. do doo dood doo doo doo...through the win, and the rain, through the laughter and pain... count on me.. and when life isn't fair and theres nobady there. I will be! In a world of pretending... something something defending.. but when it all comes down... oh when it all comes down, I'll be the last one standin!"

I love him!

Great pics too! Shows his great smile!

Nice pictures!! I love the feel to them. I too try and take pictures of my favorite musicians. Sometimes the lighting is just darn horrible!!

Wow, I haven't checked in in a couple weeks..... needless to say it was a surprise to see this thread bumped up. I used a Fuji S5000 on these shots.
