I already posted some female model pics.

This is my first attemp with a male model.

Coments are apreciated.

PS. Is not a digital pic. Kodak TMAX 100 asa B&W Film Scanned to 200dpi and resized to 150dpi :-)

I like the hard shadows.
B&W also works very well with these kind of shots.

Greetings,
Frank

Very nice pic, Jedi.

I agree to what Doorhof says... this kind of light really works well in B/W photos. As a matter of fact I love this "Three Quarter" or "3/4" light. Where approximately one fourth of the face is dark, and the rest (3/4) filled wiht light.

However one thing is a little disturbing, and that is the reflection of light off something under his chin. You can correct it in Photoshop. I hope you agree to what I've added to Doorhof's comments!

Hmmm..nice one, but you made some small mistakes IMO.

1. to many blown highlights (on the right side). The sidelight effect is classic and good, but be careful not to destroy details.

2. The BW is much too flat. I don't know what convertion method you used, but it lacks of tones.

3. The portrait is a bit blurry. Blur is fine, but it has to look intentional, otherwise it can be mistaken for a failure.

Best regards

Klaus

I have not converted the image. It is a B&W Tmax 100 film. And the film has benn developed +1 to get more contrast.

At dark side of his face was an horrible shinbone, so i wanted to keep it hide. The blow light was idea of my teacher.
