Here's two shots of Gabrile in Blue Bathrobe.

Comments and , possibily, suggestions, are extremlywelcomed.

Gabriele In Blue Bathrobe 1 :

Gabriele In Blue Bathrobe2 :

P.S. :

- no manual nor automatic level adjustment ( automatic changed colors in an innatural way : skin became yellow while I wanted to keep the soft pink tones ).

- automatic contrast

- some big soft burn tool brushstrokes on midtones to enchance depth

- some local sharp tool brishstrokes.

Hi Sergio.

First of all...Nice shots both , but they could have been shot a bit different and also processed a bit different. This is, what I would do over, if it was possible (seldom is with kids, right).

1. shot horizontally for this kind of shot.

2. I would have locked the focus on his closesteye.

3. I would have left more space in front of him, instead of centering him.

Basically speaking of course.

At the PC I did this:

1. Very tight crop horizontally, but due to the originallythe preferred composition was not possible.

2. BW with the Russel Preston mehtod. See this metod at my website:

http://www.hertz-ladiges.com/modules...152&page=5

3. Levels adjustments, contrast adjustement - all to get the preffered look!

4. Healing tool to remove disturbing spots in his face (I think it's OK, if it's done gentle...)

5. Bleeding shadows around his eye, but also clone a bit of the hard shadows away.

6. A thin black frame added OUTSIDE the photo, which you can't see here, but it's there.

This is how it looked.

best regards

Klaus

A great moving shot Sergio, with dynamic colours. I prefer the second one because the partly open eye gives a little more life to the picture.

It is amazing what a little editing can do to a picture. After you have worked with it Klaus, it tells a completely different story.

Impressive work for both of you.
