Well Ihad to hold off buying any more lens after getting my 10D and100-400L. So this weekend, I took it to the local fair. Here are some shots. My first attempts at people shots.

Hi bobby! I guess I didn't expect to see your posts in the People Photos forum!

I like these shots but #3,4,7 really stand out for me.

#3 I would crop out most of the RHS and then it would be perfect. I like #4, even though it's a bit bright, because the subjects enthusiasm seems infectious. #7 just makes me really laugh - you caught a shot of a real looneybird in this picture!

Thanks geoffs. Didn't find any birds at my local park so went to the fair.

It is tought to judge brightness on my monitor as I am using my laptop and it's LCD is too bright. I need to spend money on monitor cal. thing, wish you could rent it somewhere.

Bobby, I don't think #4 is too bright to push it over the edge - it's just a large contrast in brightness from left to right. It's fine.

I got MonacoOPTIX-XR 2 weeks ago and calibrated my crt. It did a good job and did make a difference in how I was seeing my images. I had posted some images where people said they saw colors that I was not seeing. Hopefully this won't be the case anymore. BTW, it wasn't cheap at $269 (but before $50 rebate, bought from www.chromix.com).

These are so good you can not guess they have not possed for you.

Greetings,
