First photo, definetly, in my opinion. Much more depth and drama - a more compelling photo, I think.

I agree with you there alan, We vote on our own photo competitions each moth as well as getting somesent away. I have noticed who wins in the club vote is not the same as who the judges later vote for. I guess it depends on your taste. I do realise that there are some things that the judges will add and deduct points for though.

should have called it "Deep in thought"

But after looking at the colour one and the B/W i think you have made a really good choice on pics julie
