hello

lol, i'm not really a "people photographer"

but, i've had my friends ask me to take some shots for their band, soooo, i'm trying some shots..

well...here you go

harsh critiques will be appreciated, well, harsh when included ways to make it better

please pick it apart

this one was tough, because i had to have them cooperate lol

well..thanks

btw...the "ghost" effect is on purpose...lol

Hi Vito;

It's pretty hard to criticize band shots because their purpose is different from other shots. I might suggest that you clone out the tree in the upper-right - or do something so it doesn't look like some leftovers from a late-night nature shoot... But that's being really picky. Another "maybe" would be to experiment with the layer styles for the people layer. I like the ghost effects a lot.

Good work, Vito.

Regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada

Hi Vito,

I like the idea but I find everything a bit distracting, particularly because of the 'ghost effect'. It means that the band don't really stand out. Aside from that, I'm trying to think of other band promo type shots and I can't think of any where the band are wearing T-shirts with other bands names/logo's on them... I could be wrong there though! Anyways, that's the only help I can offer. Good luck mate!

its called constructive criticism

i aggre with hack, every thing is a bit distracting because ofthere(the peoples) opacity, a black bg would help that...

Hi Vito,

Only one complaint, you need to go out and rake your lawn. I thought it was creative, good for the season.

yeeeeeah go hackphotographer

yeah, he's right...sorry if it threw you off...lol, should've mentioned that...

hmm...there's a test there...and a good thing for me to think about..

how to make the background black, with them being "ghostly"...

i guess moving somewhere without a light...and just using the flash twice....that might make them too opaque....

ok, enough thinking out loud

thanks for your comments...

btw....this was during my birthday party at my house...so i had no control of wat they were wearing , is that a bad thing? that they are wearing other band's shirts?
