This older Arab gentleman was offering donkey rides on the Mount of Olives. For one US dollar you could ride the donkey along the same road along which Jesus made his entrance into Jerusalem, also riding a donkey. One of the more mature women in our group took him up on his offer.

Thanks, Vito! When you talk, I listen! I've got more pictures where this one came from. I'm starting to lose track of which ones I've posted up here on Steve's versus which ones I've been posting to other places. If I post a duplicate, please let me know...

Actually, I cropped out more of the donkey as I didn't think it added much. The whole picture really was about the man and his expression, the donkey being just the "sideshow".

hmm...good point....

you seem to be straddling the line though..a bit more donkey would balance the focal points (points because of more donkey lol) and a bit less donkey would fully concentrate on the man...

looks like this photo has many possibilities

the big thing...the expression is great

Vito

(glad to hear i'm not spending all this time typing for nothing )

Hi Geoff;

Kudos! A wonderful shot. Great character, and textures, especially on the wall.

Regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada
