Frank

It is hard to imagine that with these beautiful women you would not produce great pictures. Wonderful pictures. I love the second pic with lamp shinning on the hair. Great lighting effects.

To me, the photos look too "posed" or "fake"...I meanthey're likethe lame, painful-lookingposes you see inbillboards and TV commercials or the cover of Cosmopolitan.

Only the one with the hair dryer looks "normal".

uhh dude, they are posed. its done in a studio so he can have total control of the lighting and how she is positioned.
what is your real gripe?? :?:

the pictures are great technically and frank is interpreting his work as he sees fit.
personally, i love this series.

@Steve C.
When you do the ammount of sessions I have done the last half year you will grow tired of the standard posed pictures very soon.

So you begin to explore the other side of photography which is (believe me) ALOT more difficult.
A normal picture of a model can be made very easy when you understand your lighting ratio's and placement, now combine that with a bit of styling (like shot 1) and a whole lot of posing and you are beginning to explore a whole new world with ALOT of new possibilities.

Look for a photographer named David LaChapelle and you will know my infuences, those ARE posed .

Greetings,
Frank

Steve C.

I thought that was the point, that they are posed, they are NOT candids, they are meant to be posed studio shots:?

Uh, sorry all.....it wasn't a "gripe", only a comment.

I feel like the winged creature from a famous Jerzy Kosinski novel.

Je suis desole.....

Constructive and well meaning criticisms are often associated with well chosen words to deliver their meaning. Usually when commenting on the work of more venerable contributors, the comments reflect this recognition. (I find these remarks are the exception to that notion)
