Spotted her on a exhibition and gave her my card, 4 months later she visited, 15 years young and her first photoshoot, I think she has potential.

A beautiful young model!!!! the second pic is my favorite. In #1 and #5 the background is too light and the tip of her nose seems to blend into it. Maybe it's my monitor. I would like #6 better without the hair in her face. All in all, you do some outstanding photography.

Frank, it may be my monitor. After looking at #5 more closely, it does have a distinct separation. However, #1 the tip of her nose is just barely visible on my monitor. They are really nice pics. All of them.

Do you use a TFT monitor ?
Please go to my website www.doorhof.nl/models there you will find a grayscale bar, please see if you can see all the squares, if not on the topend (whites) turn down your contrast, if on the bottom not turn up the brightness and check the contrast again because they interact.

Most digital display's will clip whites, and this is indeed a border case, but it should be seperated.

Greetings,
Frank

Hi Frank;

I was going to raise the old question of makeup again, but I see from your site that the model's makeup was done "by Edith". She has done wonderful work with this model (as have you).

In #6, I see that your aperture is fairly high (by digicam standards, I realize you're using a 20D) but the depth of field appears quite shallow. Have you done anything special (camera-wise or post-processing) to compress your DOF?

Great work; I think I'll pick #3 as my favorite.

Hi,
I have done nothing special except stand fairly close by, this will give a more shallow DOF.
