Hello all,

I know that this picture is probably not the best picture on this people forum, but for me it is one of the best that i have taken (i normally don't do a lot of people photos except for sports).
This is one of my friends as she is walking across the field during a track meet.
For a couple of seconds she stopped and just stared at the sky. Which gave me enough time to make the capture.

For me, it shows a beautiful girl, with a thoughtful and innocent look on her face. the colors are not badly saturated for it being a sunny day out (NO Editing was done to the picture, except resize, and save for web in Photoshop CS).

The picture was taken with a Quantary 70-300mm lens which allowed me to take her picture without her knowledge. This is a natural expression you see on her face, and not a posed one.

Nice pic. She looks happy and content. Very pretty blue eyes.

Great DOF. My only nit is the guy in the red shirt in the back. But you can't control where everyone is. Nice shot.

You've certainly captured a meaningful moment. Very well done.

Shame about the guy in the background though, but these things are not easily avoided.

Good photo. I don't think the guy in red is too distracting and could be cropped out.

Regards,

Thank you all for the comments.

IMO the guy in red is a little distracting. But i might give cloning a shot in Photoshop CS2 (Just got the upgrade:-)very nice!!) I think i've become pretty good at the cloning tool as i've used it on a few images and it saved my butt and the picture.

I forgot to include in the first post of mine the camera info for anyone that was wondering

Canon Digital Rebel
Quantary 70-300mm @ 124mm
Exposure:1/100th second
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO - 100
Metering was Pattern

Got guts man. Great photo, but I don't think I'd have the balls to randomly photograph a girl.

Great shot man, total innocence.

He said it is one of his friends. He just took the picture without telling her so he could get a genuine non-posing shot.

Plus he used a 300mm lens. He could have been on the moon to get this shot...

Yeah, she is a friend, so there was no harm in taking a picture of her.

Now random girls that i don't know are another story. I don't think i would have the guts either to photograph them, especially if the boyfriend is near. :-)
