I took this picture while at a flower festival in Gifu, Japan. At the perfect time the boy at the back of the line turned to face me, making this one of my best pictures taken so far with my A200.

This is a great photo Simon. You're right about the timing too. If he was looking straight at you it would have looked more posed, as if you had called him.

I noticed a little noise, so ran it through Noise Ninja and resized to a more suitable size for the forum. Your pic is a tad too big, my mouse hasn't seen so much scrolling action :-).

I suggest you download ImageResizer from here, http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

It lets you resize any pic on your hard drive from the right click context menu with a number of size options and also reduces the file size to a more suitable 'less than 250kb'. Which makes it easier for members on slower connections. It will reduce a 6.37mb file down to 137kb for example, but makes a copy and doesn't touch the original.

Look forward to seeing more from your (new ?) A200.

Stevekin.

Thanks, I didn't realise how big the picture still was. I just saved it in low quality, but obviously the overall size didn't come down! The original (6MP) is stunning, and there is almost no noise. I have now re-attached a better sized image to my original post.

An adorable shot and I like the lines the orange hats create...great color fidelity.
